Hardwood Floor Color Sampling Process for Refinishing
This project involved a detailed hardwood floor refinishing. After preparing the large open-plan space, the first crucial step was complete floor sanding to remove the old finish. Subsequently, we focused on the vital process of hardwood floor color sampling. To achieve this, a control strip on the raw wood was carefully taped off. We applied five distinct dark wood stains, ranging from rich walnut to deep charcoal, into a grid pattern. This allows for precise color comparison under the home’s unique lighting conditions. Furthermore, as seen in the wider context view, the adjacent finished floor and the fully prepped kitchen areas were meticulously covered for protection, highlighting the extensive nature of the refinishing work. The process ensures a highly accurate color choice before the final application.
