Hardwood Floor Sand Finish: Work Detail and Process Notes
This project focused on a comprehensive hardwood floor sand finish to restore the existing wood surfaces throughout the residence. Initially, the process required multiple passes with coarse to fine-grit sandpaper to effectively remove the old, degraded finish and level out minor imperfections in the boards. Subsequently, the bare wood was meticulously vacuumed and tacked to prepare for the final stages. Following this preparation, an even stain and several layers of durable polyurethane were carefully applied. Ultimately, these methodical steps established a renewed, protective barrier while preserving the natural grain and structural integrity of the flooring.
